Gravel (be sure to choose the correct type!) 1-2 cubic yards per panel
Fabric Barrier between mud and panels: typically $0.25-$0.30 per square foot
Edge Protection open edges protected with railroad ties or pressure treated lumber: $1.50-$2.00 per linear foot
Tools Needed, do you need to rent any of them?
- Plate Compactor
- Tractor or Skid Steer (or wheelbarrow!) for moving gravel
- Stakes and Hammer
- Knife or Scissors
- Rakes, Shovels, and a Pick Axe
Need help with installation? Hiring labor or working with a contractor is a good idea! It's typical to be able to carefully and thoroughly install 2-6 panels per day with one or two workers.
