A good size for
An entire small drylot
24 panels cover 1,728 square feet. That's an entire small drylot, like a 36' x 48' area. It's also six 12' x 24' runs, or three 24' x 24' paddocks.
Lighthoof panels hold your gravel in place so your horses can't push it down into the mud. Do it once, keep the manure picked up, and it stays mud-free.
Everything installs over the ground you have, with the included fabric underneath. If you want to change how water moves across the lot, do that grading first, because Lighthoof locks in the grade.
An order this size ships free by LTL freight on a pallet. The freight company will call you to schedule the delivery.

How freight delivery works
- Ships from Houston Your panels ship on a pallet by LTL freight. Fabric ships separately and usually arrives around the same time.
- They call to schedule The freight company calls you to set a delivery appointment. The call usually comes from an 800 number.
- Liftgate drop-off A full-size truck with a liftgate lowers your shipment to the ground. Someone needs to be there to sign, so look it over for damage before you do.
- Tight driveway? If a big truck can't get down your road or driveway, tell us when you order, since extra delivery charges may apply.
How it works
The cells support the gravel. The gravel supports your horse.
Mud happens when hooves push gravel down and pull soil up. Lighthoof locks a compacted layer of stone in place so it stays on top and holds firm through winter.
This bundle includes the fabric layer, so you only need to bring the gravel.
Four steps to a mud-free paddock
Step 1
Lay the included fabric
Right over the ground you have. Finish any grading first, because Lighthoof locks in the grade.
Step 2
Stretch and tie panels
Each panel opens to 6' x 12'. 40 ties per panel connect them into one mat.
Step 3
Fill with 3/8"-1/2" minus
Angular crushed rock with fines, 36 to 48 cu yd for this bundle. Never pea gravel or sand.
Step 4
Compact it
Run a plate compactor until the diamond pattern shows, top up, and compact again.
Need a Different Size?
For two 30' stall runs, the 10-panel bundle is enough. For a 60' x 60' paddock, look at the 50-panel bundle. Or call or text us at 800-279-4716 and we'll help you work out an exact count.
